Pet Sales Company MINIPET to Help with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs’ Plans
According to the announcement of the five-year comprehensive plan by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), t
here will be significant changes in the overall pet-related business from 2020 to 2024. A standout among them is the reinforcement of pet registration.
Pet registration, which has been implemented since 2014 but has been facing many difficulties in identifying the exact number of pets due to the low number of registrations,
has been strengthened by adding the “pre-sales after animal registration before adopting pets” clause effective 2021.
CEO Jong-man Hwang of MINIPET, a dog sales company, welcomed the five-year comprehensive plan announced by the MAFRA.
"I have no doubt that this policy will bring a positive wind to the pet culture. T
o establish a proper companion culture, MINIPET will also support the registration of all animals sold by us," he said.
The first project implemented on pet sales companies is carried out through PeoPet, an online animal registration company.
MINIPET is to pay all expenses for animal registration. During the trial period, a package including animal registration card, dog tag,
happiness notebook, registration certificate, and brooch will be delivered to customers.
